Key responsibilities include: Using advanced nursing skills and culturally responsive care to support the health and wellbeing outcomes of Aboriginal children and their families. Coordinating care and service navigation for Level 2 and 3 families. Liaising with partnership organisations and key stakeholders. Providing career development opportunities to enhance specialisation and retention of nursing staff. Acting as a resource and specialist within the field of Aboriginal Child & Family Health for both internal and external stakeholders. Contributing to quality improvement activities and maintaining a culture of safety and governance in Aboriginal Child & Family Health services. Collaborating with Statewide Building Stronger Foundations and New Directions services and local Aboriginal community organisations. Providing individualised, case‑managed level 2‑3 client care and leadership for Aboriginal Child & Family Health. Employing clinical skills and critical thinking to deliver high quality patient care. Leading the development of nursing specialty clinical practice and service delivery. Supporting and supervising other nurses, midwives and care roles. Selection Criteria Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse/Midwife, current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel as required. Relevant post‑registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ recent experience in the Child & Family Health clinical area with Priority Populations. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community and ability to provide culturally appropriate care. Ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and develop clinical management plans. Demonstrated extended autonomy in decision making within a multidisciplinary team and application of professional and ethical boundaries. Skills in developing and facilitating patient and carer education; mentorship and coaching of nursing staff. High level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and proficiency with health‑related information technology. Experience leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient outcomes. Information for Applicants An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.
