Offering a variety of services to Tasmanians, from group and individual social support through to allied health - social work and counselling services, both our team and the Chats participants take great joy every day in being part of this program, and you could be a part of it A newly created position, working under general direction from the State Manager, with the possibility for advancement, the Assistant Manager will oversee the Southern Chats team, including setting priorities and outcomes as well as planning and organising regional services. Responsibilities Assist the Chats Manager to review operations in order to determine effectiveness and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, funding agreements and Lifeline Tasmania policies. Daily oversight of southern program employees. Responsibility for service acquittal reporting and monthly financial acquittals. Assist in the development and implementation of program procedures. Provide comprehensive and detailed intake assessments for all potential participants, including collaboration with their representatives on needs and service requirements. Complete annual reviews with participants and their representatives to continuously assess, plan and review participant set goals and strategies for achievement. Group and one-on-one administrative activities for support staff and volunteers including pre-prepared risk assessments, transport sheets and petty cash entitlements. Schedule participant activities and intakes on behalf of support staff. Provide input into and approve monthly regional calendar of activities. Maintain program specific databases. Program administration and financial tasks. Commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse and neglect to all clients. This full time position will be based in our Bellerive office. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Aged Care Sector obtained by a minimum of 2 years experience working in the area and a qualification in a relevant discipline. Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills to build networks both within and external to the organisation. Highly developed organisational skills including the capacity to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines. Highly competent Microsoft Office and IT skills with competency in the use of information technology systems. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and liaison skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and have daily oversight for a team, including facilitating and participating in supervision and team meetings. The ability to provide effective support and assistance to individuals that embraces and respects diversity. A current unrestricted Tasmanian driver’s licence and willingness to transport clients in a sedan and/or small bus. A Current Certificate in Applied First Aid Knowledge and experience in the Not for Profit sector would be considered favourable in this position. Other Important Things To Know The usual working hours for this position are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Some work outside these hours may be required. Intrastate travel will be required.
