We are seeking a talented and driven Design Responsible Engineer – Chassis to join our growing Engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of chassis system design—from concept development through to release, validation, and production. You will work across exciting vehicle programs, contributing to high‑profile OEM and specialty vehicle projects. What you’ll be doing Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of chassis systems including suspension, steering, subframes, mounting systems, and associated structural components Work closely with our CAD team to generate models, engineering drawings, and bill of materials to OEM and Walkinshaw standards Own design releases, change management, and technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Purchasing, and Vehicle Dynamics Conduct engineering analysis to support design decisions (DFMEA, tolerance studies, structural assessments, packaging studies) Support prototype builds, vehicle testing, and production launch activities Provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and performance requirements Liaise with suppliers and external partners to ensure feasibility, cost effectiveness, and quality of engineered solutions What we’re looking for A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline 4–8+ years of experience in chassis engineering, structural components, or vehicle systems design Sound understanding of vehicle dynamics, structural engineering, and manufacturing methods Proven experience managing design responsibility and release processes Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams A passion for automotive innovation and delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes What we offer Work on cutting‑edge automotive and engineering programs Be part of a respected Australian engineering organisation with a rich motorsport and performance heritage.
