The Role The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in directing, planning, and organising all production activities to meet short, medium, and long‑term goals. This role ensures alignment with safety, food safety, quality, and operational standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Acting as a key leader, the Production Manager is responsible for optimising production efficiency, nurturing a Safety & Quality mindset, and driving best‑in‑class performance through lean principles and people development. The production manager role is very much a hands‑on role. Ensure safety and compliance by implementing regulations related to safety, food safety, and environmental protection, and actively improving performance in these areas. Lead day‑to‑day production activities to meet quality, operational, and financial objectives in alignment with the master plan. Develop and support employees through hiring, training, and fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented culture. Identify and execute process improvements, lean initiatives, and new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate closely with peers to drive strategic goals. Skills & Experience A background working in dairy manufacturing or a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a similar technical field. Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong technical knowledge of plant operations, lean principles, and systems. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on standardising processes and ensuring compliance. Self‑starter with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities, thriving under pressure to drive results.
