Acacia Ridge State School, in partnership with Watson Road State School, is seeking expressions of interest for a Family Support Coordinator as part of the Department of Education’s Family Support Coordinator Initiative. The Family Support Coordinator will work across both schools to support Prep to Year 2 children and their families to build positive attendance, wellbeing, and engagement in learning. You will be passionate about supporting children and families to successfully transition into school, establish positive patterns of attendance and link families to external government and non-government supports and services and reduce barriers to learning. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. Who We Are Acacia Ridge State School: Is a long-established, culturally diverse primary school located on Nyngam Street in Acacia Ridge. The school represents more than 44 cultural backgrounds and has a strong connection with its First Nations community. It delivers the full Australian Curriculum, including specialist Music, Science, Health & PE, as well as Mandarin in Years 4-6. Acacia Ridge State School maintains strong community partnerships through its on-site Early Years Centre and Community Hub, offering family support, early learning programs, and health services.
