Senior Mechanical Engineer, Building Services Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Engineer, Building Services role at WSP in Australia Overview The Adelaide Building Services team is currently engaged in a broad portfolio of projects, with a strong emphasis on key initiatives in transport, defence, civic infrastructure, and commercial sectors . Our Property and Buildings team is a world-leading management and technical consultancy operating across all sectors. We are passionate about tackling the complex and sophisticated challenges of the built environment and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient and liveable communities. What You’ll Do Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time Take lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and support larger projects Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams Be a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers Build solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities (desirable) Represent and promote the business with the local and regional markets About you Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating, and ventilation) Ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design Proven project experience in the building services sector across a range of large projects Working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards Registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry History of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines Seniority and employment Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
