Role and focus You will be a Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for a range of challenging and industry leading projects. Ideally, you will have experience in oil & gas, although experiences across manufacturing, infrastructure or heavy industry is also valued. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team, working with a diverse range of clients on brownfields projects and new builds. Success in this role will see you offer: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will: Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients quality standards. Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers. Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes. Continuously develop industry networks and contacts. Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Minimum 5 years’ experience with 3 years’ experience in Finite Element Analysis with experience in pressure equipment (desirable) CPEng certification Diverse range of mechanical engineering skills, including pressure equipment, rotating equipment or tanks Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar manufacturing industries Experience using AutoPIPE, PV Elite or other design programs Experience generating engineering budget estimates and quotations Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is mandatory We are growing At Verbrec, we empower change and create opportunities for you to develop a supercharged career pathway, whether it is technical, or focused on the people.
