home_work Hybrid Posted 1 day ago GM of Engineering Opportunity Package up to $280k including super Start Jan or Feb 2025 I’m supporting a large Australian digital business that’s investing heavily in uplifting engineering capability across high-traffic consumer products. This role leads a team of 5 principal engineers across mobile and web, with the remit to standardise engineering practices, strengthen delivery, and improve performance across multiple digital channels. As the organisation scales, the team will grow to around 15, with three additional teams sitting underneath this role. You’ll work closely with product and architecture to drive engineering maturity and ensure stability and reliability across high-demand websites and mobile apps. What you’ll focus on: Uplifting engineering principles and establishing consistent software engineering standards Enhancing performance, reliability, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile and SAFe practices Partnering with product owners across complex delivery environments Contributing to future platform and architecture evolution What we’re looking for: Experience operating at meaningful scale with high-traffic, high-availability digital platforms Background in mobile or web engineering leadership Strong track record building engineering culture and guiding senior technical leaders Interview process (three conversations, no technical test) Second round with another director Final conversation with HR Apply today or reach out for a confidential chat.
