The Role As General Manager Engineering – DNAP , you will provide strategic engineering leadership across Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific. This role is pivotal in ensuring technical excellence, governance, and assurance for our operations, which include ammonia and ammonium nitrate plants, emulsion facilities, AN depots, and mobile process units. Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team across disciplines such as Fixed Plant, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Mobile Equipment, Process & Technology, and Bulk Explosive Safety. Own and maintain fit‑for‑purpose engineering standards, specifications, and governance frameworks. Drive risk assurance processes for material equipment risks and oversee treatment plans. Provide technical consultancy to reliability engineers and endorse key project deliverables for critical equipment. Champion continuous improvement through Communities of Practice and mentoring site engineers. Influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role reports to the VP HSEOE DNAP and contributes to managing assets with a replacement value exceeding $1 billion. What You’ll Bring You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high‑performance culture. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, ideally with Professional Engineer status. Deep technical expertise in engineering standards, asset management, and process safety. Strong knowledge of manufacturing and distribution technologies for ammonium nitrate and explosives highly desirable. Proven leadership skills to inspire, innovate, and collaborate across diverse teams, while delivering governance with technical excellence. Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical decisions and business outcomes.
