Program Manager – Good Sports Alcohol and Drug Foundation Salary: $101,195.06 – $115,524.63 (annual) Job Type: Temporary, full‑time, 12‑month term Location: Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid work model – office and WFH) Job Description The Good Sports Program Manager will lead strategic program delivery and quality improvement initiatives to reduce alcohol and drug harm through community engagement. The Good Sports Program Manager will have strong community engagement experience and proven ability to lead strategic program delivery. They must manage direct line staff, project management, business planning, budgets, stakeholder engagement, and performance reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of the Good Sports program in line with funder requirements, program development, and evaluation plans Oversee program planning, delivery timelines, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities Develop and manage the program budget in consultation with the National Community Programs Manager Grow the Good Sports Program to support knowledge sharing and stakeholder collaboration to achieve objectives Develop and sustain effective, collaborative relationships with external partners, funders, delivery teams and other stakeholders Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision to team members – fostering collaboration, high performance and a supportive team environment Qualifications and Experience Undergraduate (essential) and post‑graduate qualifications or equivalent industry experience in business, sports administration, health, or social sciences related to community program management (e.g., Social Work, Public Health, Health Promotion, Public Policy and Management, Business Management) Significant senior‑level program development experience Advanced problem‑solving and critical thinking skills; proactive in addressing challenges and streamlining delivery Strong analytical and conceptual skills; can quickly absorb new information and generate innovative solutions Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, public speaking and negotiation Strong understanding of diverse Australian communities and evidence‑based place‑based approaches Demonstrated experience managing program budgets Occasional interstate travel required.
