Canberra | AGSVA Security Clearance | Government Data Platforms PALAS Consulting is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong data integration and information architecture capabilities to join our team supporting a large Commonwealth data platform initiative. This role operates within a mature data and analytics environment and focuses on the design and integration of complex operational and corporate data sources into an enterprise-scale data platform. The work involves solution design, data modelling, and close engagement with platform, engineering, and business stakeholders. This is a hands‑on architecture role suited to practitioners who can rapidly understand disparate data sources and design pragmatic, secure integration solutions in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Lead solution and data architecture activities supporting integration into a large enterprise data platform. Design and document data integration patterns for complex and heterogeneous source systems. Assess source data structures and design scalable integration approaches aligned to enterprise standards. Develop and maintain logical and physical data models for structured and semi-structured data. Support product and platform teams to translate business requirements into implementable data solutions. Contribute to metadata design, data governance, and architectural assurance activities. Engage with technical and business stakeholders to support delivery and alignment. Produce high‑quality architecture artefacts, including solution designs, data models, and integration specifications. Required Experience Demonstrated experience in solution design for data-focused projects, including enterprise data platforms. Strong background in data integration, including ingestion of multiple source systems into centralised or federated platforms. Proven capability in information and data architecture, including data modelling. Experience working in complex, highly governed environments. Ability to operate effectively within integrated, multi-disciplinary delivery teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical Background Data integration and data movement patterns. Enterprise data platforms and data lakes. Data modelling for analytics, reporting, and interoperability. Metadata management and data governance concepts. Experience with large operational, asset, logistics, or ERP‑style data sets is advantageous. Security and Location AGSVA security clearance is required. Australian citizenship is mandatory. Canberra‑based, with regular on‑site access to secure government facilities.
