Are you ready to lead your own projects? Our client is an established and reputable commercial construction builder specialising in refurbishments in the Industrial, Education and Retail space, as well as a large arm of Maintenance works. Based on the Northside of Brisbane, they are establishing themselves as a trusted partner to their repeat clients, delivering internal design work to ensure seamless project execution. This is an opportunity for a Contract Administrator who is already running projects and is ready to officially step up as a Junior Project Manager. This new title comes with the authority to lead your own projects and finally get the full credit and recognition for the work you deliver. They are a growing builder that values culture, recently establishing a strong leadership team (Construction Manager and General Manager). The Director is relatable and approachable, actively seeking and valuing ideas and input from all team members. They’re a leadership team that you will only get better under. Your goals are clear: Own the Project Life Cycle: Take full responsibility for projects from contract award through to final handover, managing all aspects of time, cost, and quality Bridge the Gap: Effectively transition from contract administration duties into project leadership Collaborate on Design: Work closely with the internal design team to ensure project viability and client satisfaction Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on your projects, maintaining the company's reputation for quality and partnership Drive Performance: Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within the budget You'll need: Proven experience: A minimum of 2 years as a Contract Administrator in commercial construction, with a demonstrated track record of managing or leading key project components and a strong understanding of the critical importance of accurate and comprehensive documentation Commercial Acumen: Strong skills in contract management, cost control, variations, and subcontractor negotiation Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and internal leadership Proactive Attitude: A desire to step up, take ownership, and implement best practices into project delivery If this role interests you but you don’t have an updated CV and you want some more information, please reach out to Jack.
