At Metcash, we’re looking for a Retailer Communications Coordinator to help us drive communication excellence and support our independent retailers on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this exciting and fast-paced role, you’ll manage and update the Metcash Retailer website, ensuring consistent, high-quality content that helps our retailers thrive. You’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business, working together to deliver communications that truly make an impact. If you’re ready to take on a role with multiple deadlines, diverse stakeholders, and the chance to make a real difference, we want to hear from you In this Role Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including state and national teams, internal departments, and retailers, as well as cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, promotions, merchandise, operations) to ensure effective communication support Manage multiple inboxes by clearing backlogs, assisting internal team members with requests, addressing retailer and operation teams queries, and prioritising action items for timely resolution Plan, produce, and deliver communications to retailers promptly, covering day-to-day management along with weekly, monthly, and ad hoc requests Conduct regular audits of user databases and content to maintain accuracy and ensure all materials remain current Develop and oversee EDM campaigns, providing recommendations to enhance effectiveness and maximise value for retailers You’re Likely a Match If A degree or practical experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field At least 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role (experience in FMCG is highly regarded) Proficiency in Content Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, MailChimp (or similar platforms), and Salesforce is highly desirable Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong editing and copywriting abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy and detail Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment Proficient in IT and computer systems, with a strong ability to quickly learn and navigate back‑end platforms What’s On Offer ️ Extra Leave: Enjoy a 5th week of annual leave, 2 well‑being days, plus 1 volunteer day annually Career Growth: Endless learning and development opportunities Parental Leave: 12 weeks of gender‑neutral paid leave for primary carers Inclusive Culture: Bronze Employer for LGBTQ Inclusion ⚖️ Neutral Pay Gap: Gender pay gap under 5% (WGEA 2024–2025)
