Technical Quality Assurance Engineer

We're looking for a highly driven Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of our continuous improvement & innovative culture. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible in navigating product claims and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and associated reporting. This position reports to the Head of Customer & Brand Experience, further supported by our very experienced team. The objective of the role is to reduce incidents of customer claims through proactive training, developing new documentation, enhancing fitment notes and cataloguing, as well as offering sales coaching to our experienced sales team; additionally seek out manufacturing quality improvements. Australian work authorisation is required at the start of employment for this position. What You’ll Do Navigate customer claims (through phone and email communication) to identify opportunities to improve installation instructions, and in general seek solutions to simplify the installation processes. This would include working with internal catalogue & sales teams to optimise fitment notes and enhance customer training; also referencing industry best practices. Analyse claimed faults using data‑driven analytics to identify design or manufacturing areas of improvement, including working with internal product engineering and suppliers. Follow and support the company's existing ISO9001 quality management system, ensuring documentation, testing, and reporting are completed accurately. Support regular reporting of continuous improvement initiatives; both in terms of documentation enhancement and product changes; producing dashboards and monitoring. What You Bring Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar 3+ years in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Testing roles (manufacturing or hardware preferred) Strong automotive or mechatronics background essential in understanding functions of a clutch system Strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using quality or business intelligence tools. Experience with business intelligence tools is required, with any BI platform experience being acceptable. Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto, control plans, etc. Experience with a QA database, digital forms, and documentation systems. Experience with QA database systems is required, with any QA database platform being acceptable. Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers about claims.
