Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description IBA STEEL is a specialist carpentry and steel fixing company. We work on residential and commercial projects including carpentry, formwork, steel‑structure installations and steel fixing, and have ongoing and upcoming projects across QLD. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team. You’ll work across a range of projects performing structural and formwork carpentry, setting out, and other construction duties as required. Annual Salary: $83,200 + Allowances + Super Key Responsibilities: Perform carpentry and formwork tasks to a high standard on residential and commercial construction sites Read, interpret, and apply building plans, drawings, and specifications Construct, install, and repair formwork, framing, doors, windows, fixtures, and structural outdoor features Use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely, following WHS and manufacturer guidelines Ensure construction sites remain safe, organised, and compliant with workplace safety requirements Measure, cut, shape, and join timber and other construction materials Follow safe work method statements (SWMS) and adhere to all construction‑site safety protocols Work collaboratively with site supervisors, trades, apprentices, and subcontractors What We’re Looking For: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Carpenter Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification) Strong understanding of construction methods, timber framing, and formwork Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate) Skilled in safe use of hand tools and power tools Attention to detail Ability to work independently and within a team Reliable transport and a valid Australian driver’s licence What We Offer: Supportive and professional team culture Consistent local work and long‑term opportunities Competitive wages Flexible arrangements for work Will provide hand tools and power tools #J-18808-Ljbffr
