Vectiq Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia System Administrator Vectiq is seeking an experienced ICT System Administrator to join a high-performing technical team in Canberra. This role is ideal for someone with strong system administration expertise, exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, and experience working across complex enterprise environments. Working Arrangement: Onsite only (no WFH) Hours: Up to 40 hours per week Contract: 12 months + extensions Security Clearance: TSPV required Key Responsibilities Lead system administration activities across enterprise hardware, hosting platforms, and critical infrastructure, ensuring governance, compliance, and operational resilience. Provide proactive support for complex ICT environments, resolving high-priority technical issues with a high level of independence. Drive technology uplift by researching, designing, and implementing new solutions, including automation and the development of technical standards. Deliver advanced (L2/L3) support, troubleshoot across hardware, software, and network layers, and contribute to capacity and performance optimisation. Maintain secure and compliant systems by performing audits, applying ISM-aligned practices, and mentoring junior team members. Qualifications 3–5 years’ experience in ICT or relevant tertiary specialization Broad experience across hardware, software, networking, and IT infrastructure Strong background in Oracle infrastructure + Linux/Unix systems Proven ability to troubleshoot network protocols, routing, and connectivity Experience supporting complex enterprise environments across multi-vendor systems Experience in complex planning, installations, upgrades, and quality compliance Nice to Have Bachelor’s degree or higher in ICT or related field Experience managing complex ICT projects If you’re an experienced ICT System Administrator looking for an exciting long-term contract in a mission-critical environment, we’d love to hear from you.
