Based in Laverton North, we specialise in wharf cartage, container movements, and custom freight delivery throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-focused Sideloader Transport Allocator to join our busy operations team. This is a critical role responsible for driver allocations, roster management, container bookings, and real-time operational coordination using Freight Tracker , MTData , Tanda , Gearbox , and WhatsApp . What You’ll Be Doing Allocate sideloader drivers to jobs using Freight Tracker , considering vehicle type, route, and compliance. Book empty containers using Container Chain and 1-Stop VBS . Coordinate and publish driver rosters via Tanda , with changes communicated via WhatsApp. Monitor and verify job time stamps and MTData GPS tracking accuracy for NHVR compliance. Print job paperwork for OOG, packaged hazardous goods, and DG movements. Maintain accurate records of schedules, job statuses, and driver communications. Ensure all activities meet NHVL and WorkSafe requirements. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams across platforms. What You Bring to the Role Prior experience as a Transport Allocator, Operations Coordinator, or similar. Minimum 1-2 years of transport allocation or logistics experience. Strong knowledge of Freight Tracker (or similar TMS) and driver scheduling systems. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Familiarity with NHVR compliance and Mass Management . Ability to handle pressure and manage competing priorities with confidence. Intermediate skills with Google Suite and mobile communication platforms. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Must be an Australian permanent resident. Why Join Norman Carriers?
