Job Summary This position is responsible for overseeing the work of Field Service Technicians and labourers on site and ensuring all works are completed in a timely and efficient manner as per client specifications and in accordance with WorkSafe WA policies and procedures. This role provides support and guidance to Field Technicians and reports directly to the Director. Responsibilities Safe removal of bonded and friable asbestos from walls, ceilings, beams, fencing etc in accordance with WorkSafe WA regulations. Cleaning construction sites, industrial work premises, and other commercial and private premises using heavy duty cleaning equipment, including meth lab cleaning, mould removal and soil remediation. Decontamination of all equipment and tools at the end of daily use. Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice. Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards. Coordinating work programs (requires following Gantt charts). Examining equipment specifications, inspecting and testing machines, equipment, clothing and work conditions to ensure compliance with industry safety standards and serviceability. Observing workers to ensure protective devices are being utilised with regulations and that hazardous materials are used and stored in accordance with approved procedures. Conducting tests in work areas to detect asbestos, toxic levels i.e. mould, lead and other hazards. Erecting formwork and roof framing. Driving and manoeuvring plant on site such as Excavator, Posi track loader, Bobcat, turf cutter, Front end loader as well as internal building plant - ride on floor stripper and ride on concrete grinder. Selecting and fitting attachments to plant. Manipulating controls to operate attachments mechanically, hydraulically and electrically, and to move materials. Monitoring operation of plant directly and by referring to instruments. Monitoring condition of plant, performing minor repairs and reporting mechanical faults. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in plant operation i.e. Excavator, Post track loader, Bobcat, Turf cutter, Front end loader. Previous experience on construction and / or demolition sites. Can interpret construction drawings i.e. blueprints and floor plans. 3 years experience in asbestos removal (both friable and non-friable asbestos) is preferred. Previous experience in mould and / or lead removal would be advantageous. Remove non-friable asbestos (CPCCDE) Supervise asbestos removal (CPCCDE) Remove friable asbestos (CPCCDE) Current Western Australia 'C' Class Driver's License. Holder of a White Card.
