Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead the delivery of application development and systems integration projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This hybrid role combines structured project management with hands‑on Scrum leadership, ensuring high‑quality delivery, strong team performance, and exceptional client outcomes. You will work closely with internal development teams, Product Owners, and client‑side project managers to coordinate delivery, manage risks, maintain transparency, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders. Experience delivering software projects in environments with external clients or complex stakeholder groups is essential. This role has a preferred location of Brisbane with 2+ days in the office and occasional travel. Sydney based candidates will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Project Management Lead the full lifecycle delivery of application development projects, from initiation through analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and transition. Maintain control over project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring outcomes meet agreed objectives. Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies. Provide clear reporting to senior management and client stakeholders, including progress, financials, and milestone tracking. Foster strong team engagement, providing guidance, motivation, and accountability. Work collaboratively with the client’s project manager to maintain shared understanding, alignment, and consistent communication. Champion Agile ways of working and ensure effective adoption of Scrum practices across the project team. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives. Maintain and publish sprint and release plans, ensuring clarity on priorities, commitments, and delivery expectations. Manage JIRA boards, sprint backlogs, releases, and reporting dashboards. Track sprint metrics and delivery performance to support continuous improvement. Identify and remove impediments to maintain delivery flow and productivity. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Build strong relationships with internal teams, client stakeholders, and Product Owners. Ensure clarity of requirements, acceptance criteria, and priorities throughout the SDLC. Manage and resolve escalations appropriately, maintaining focus on balanced, outcome‑driven solutions. Maintain transparency across all stakeholder groups through structured communication, documentation, and regular updates. Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated experience delivering software development or systems integration projects across the full SDLC. Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and experience facilitating Scrum teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with external clients and enterprise environments. Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Strong organisational leadership, problem‑solving, and team‑coordination capabilities. Preferred Skills Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI‑ACP, PSM/CSM, or Agile PM. Experience coordinating technical teams across distributed or hybrid work environments. Familiarity with modern architectural concepts and enterprise integration. Exposure to financial management, reporting, and project governance frameworks.
