Parliamentary Counsel's Office Senior Assistant Parliamentary Counsel You. At the centre of big ideas. PSSE Band 1 Total remuneration package: $212,406 – $237,352Location: Sydney CBD (Martin Place) About the role In this role, you will draft complex, high-quality legislation and provide legal advice to the Government and other stakeholders about legislation. You will also supervise and develop junior drafters and contribute to the wider management of the office by assisting with other management or drafting programs. Our ideal candidate: Is an Australian lawyer who is the holder of, or is eligible to hold, an Australian Practicing Certificate. Has experience in producing high-quality legislation and knowledge of best practice drafting principles and standards. Has detailed knowledge of the NSW statute book or the ability to rapidly acquire that knowledge. Possesses extensive knowledge of NSW legislative, Cabinet and parliamentary processes and experience in providing professional and impartial advice relevant to those processes.
