Employment Type : Permanent Full Time Position Classification : Clinical Psychologist Remuneration : $113,617 - $138,482 per annum Hours Per Week : 38 Location : Western Sydney LHD Drug Health Forensic Team, Cumberland Hospital Where you'll be working You’ll join the Drug Health Forensic Team at Cumberland Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District. Our collaborative, multidisciplinary team is committed to safe, person centred care and continuous improvement in forensic and drug health services. Support Adult Drug Court and Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment programs Work within a highly skilled team focused on recovery and rehabilitation Access professional development and ongoing supervision Engage with courts, legal partners and health specialists Contribute to research, service improvement and best practice initiatives What You'll Be Doing In this specialist role, you’ll provide comprehensive psychological services for clients with substance use concerns engaged in court diversion programs. You will draw on evidence based practice, strong clinical judgement and effective stakeholder collaboration. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans Deliver best practice interventions in individual and group settings Prepare high quality court reports and liaise with Judges, solicitors and legal partners Manage complex cases, coordinate referrals and work closely within the multidisciplinary team Respond effectively to crises, risk concerns and challenging clinical presentations Ready to make a meaningful impact? Essential Criteria Qualification: Masters or Doctoral degree in Forensic or Clinical Psychology Registration: AHPRA Registered Psychologist with Forensic or Clinical Endorsement otherwise current eligibility for endorsement pathway Selection Criteria Masters degree in clinical psychology or forensic psychology and full registration with AHPRA. Endorsement as clinical or forensic psychologist preferable otherwise current eligibility for endorsement pathway. Experience administering comprehensive assessments and designing targeted treatment plans for substance use issues and/or co‑morbid mental health problems. Demonstrated skills in providing evidence based psychological treatment for substance use issues and/or co‑morbid mental health problems. Ability to work in court based programs with clients who have engaged in offending behavior. Proven high quality written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience or exposure to crisis and risk situations and challenging client behaviors. An understanding of the array of psychosocial issues that contribute to substance use problems and capacity to take a holistic approach to treatment. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
