Job Description Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Eniquest is a highly regarded diesel generator set manufacturing business based on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. With a passion for Australian Made, Eniquest sources all of its fabricated metalwork and machined components from within Australia. We are seeking a very capable and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to work on site, full time, 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include producing 3D models and detailed component drawings for our subcontract manufacturers, notably developing SolidWorks 3D models of new generator sets followed by the development of individual components for manufacture. Responsibilities Producing 3D SolidWorks product assembly models Producing 3D SolidWorks fabricated or machined component models Producing manufacturing drawings for fabricated or machined components for our product build Produce assembly instruction drawings for our workshop Produce product build list Produce electrical control drawings and schematics Maintain drawing issue control and numbering system Maintain up to date hard copy drawing filing systems Assist with the research and development of new and innovative products Continuously update existing products with improvements and cost reduction designs Maintain all aspects of workplace health and safety and maintain a pleasant and enjoyable working environment Be an ambassador for Eniquest, focusing on growing its market and promoting sales Occasionally produce models of our manufactured products Report directly to the Head of Engineering Qualifications Experience with diesel generator design, understanding of diesel engine, alternator cooling and noise reduction Experience conducting Finite Element Analysis for all structural components and providing detailed reporting for suitability Experience in cost reduction for manufactured components Fluent understanding of metal fabrication; a metal fabrication trade background in the manufacturing industry Competent and fluent using SolidWorks CAD systems Ability to create 3D component drawings and assemblies Ability to create accurate and well‑defined drawings for subcontract manufacture Understanding of electrical control and power drawings Highly focused to complete all tasks in a timely manner and without supervision; well‑organised; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail Application Applications should present a short one‑page response letter addressing our requirements and a copy of a resume.
