Based in Noosa, Australia, we’re now rapidly scaling operations to meet increasing demand of our first product to market Surf'N'Turf. We’re seeking an exceptional leader with experience spanning project delivery, aquaculture facility development, and operational site management to oversee the build and ongoing performance of new Provectus Algae manufacturing sites. This role will be Queensland-based with opportunities for rapid career progression for the right candidate. Working with world-leading experts in a purpose-driven and highly motivated team, you will help deliver and operate first‑of‑kind technologies and become a world leader in the field. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end project scopes, timelines, budgets, risk profiles, and delivery against technical and operational specifications. Coordinate and direct administrators, fabricators, technicians, contractors, engineering partners, and external vendors. Negotiate and manage construction contracts, leases, procurement processes, and supplier relationships. Oversee regulatory approvals, permitting, and compliance requirements associated with new facility development. Lead commissioning activities, operational readiness planning, and transition of sites into full‑scale production. Manage day‑to‑day operations of the facility once commissioned, including production planning, resourcing, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. Supervise and develop on‑site teams responsible for aquaculture operations, bioreactor systems, maintenance, and site services. Ensure production targets, quality metrics, yield, uptime, and cost KPIs are consistently met or improved. Implement and maintain operational SOPs, preventative maintenance schedules, emergency response plans, and site management protocols. Oversee water treatment systems, utilities, and process engineering functions critical to aquaculture and bioprocess operations. Ensure ongoing compliance with OH&S, GMP, environmental regulations, and internal quality and safety standards. Manage asset procurement, inventory control, lifecycle management, and long‑term maintenance strategies. Monitor facility performance, identify opportunities for optimisation, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Provide senior management with regular updates on construction status, operational performance, risks, and budget utilisation. Collaborate with internal teams across R&D, engineering, and operations to align site performance with company objectives. Manage international and domestic supply chain processes, including logistics and vendor coordination. Solve technical and operational challenges with a hands‑on, analytical, and adaptive approach. Undertake additional ad‑hoc tasks as required by senior management. Preferred Skills and Experience Minimum 8 years’ experience in project management, aquaculture operations, facilities management, bioprocessing, or related engineering fields. Proven capability in both the construction/commissioning and operational management of complex engineering or manufacturing facilities. Experience in aquaculture, biotechnology, marine farming, or process‑driven production environments is advantageous. Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross‑functional and on‑site operational teams. High proficiency with project planning, scheduling, and reporting tools, especially Excel and related systems. Demonstrated commercial acumen with strong negotiation and vendor‑management skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with resilience in dynamic and first‑of‑kind technology environments.
