The appointment will strengthen the Department of Biologys research in Biochemistry and / or Microbiology. At Senior Lecturer level (C) you will : Deliver high-quality teaching and course coordination in Biochemistry and / or Microbiology. Lead and collaborate on research projects aligned with the Schools priorities. Publish in high-quality outlets and attract competitive research funding. Supervise higher degree by research (HDR) students. Build productive networks across RMIT and with national and international partners. Contribute to program management and support academic excellence in the Department. At Associate Professor level (D) you will : Provide academic leadership in teaching research and program development. Make original and distinguished contributions to the Schools programs. Lead major research teams secure substantial external funding and build international research recognition. Shape the strategic direction of the School through governance leadership roles and committee participation. Play a key role in mentoring staff supervising HDR students and strengthening community and industry partnerships. You may be appointed in the future as Deputy Head of School / Dean for a specific department or to provide strategic leadership for learning and teaching or research and scholarship. Both appointments require demonstrated expertise a strong track record in research and commitment to delivering innovative teaching and impactful scholarship. Candidates holding current grants in relevant fields will be viewed advantageously. Key Selection Criteria : (Level C) Demonstrated ability to coordinate courses and prepare and delivery programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels including high quality curriculum and program materials and ability to implement innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement. Ability to manage a large program or a number of small programs. Demonstrated ability to support student issues related to effective learning. Emerging nationally recognised research track record in Biochemistry and / or Microbiology and / or a related field including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets.
