Senior Lecturer, Exercise Science

La Trobe University is seeking an outstanding academic to join the Department of Sport, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at either the Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) level in Sport Analytics and Data Science. About the Roles You will contribute to the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Sport and Exercise Science, with a particular focus on our flagship Master of Sport Analytics, and conduct high‑quality research to help build La Trobe’s reputation as a global leader in sport analytics. For the Lecturer (Level B) the role focuses on teaching excellence, research contribution and supervision of Honours and Master’s students, supporting the development of leadership skills. For the Senior Lecturer (Level C) the role requires a stronger leadership profile, leading curriculum development, supervising research students across all levels, securing external research funding and contributing to discipline leadership at La Trobe. Key Requirements for Both Roles A PhD in Sport and Exercise Science or a related field. Expertise in sport analytics, performance analysis, data science, statistics and research methods. Proficiency in R and/or Python. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum design and research. A collegial and inclusive approach to academic collaboration and leadership.
