Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on commercial property transactions, leasing, and regulatory matters. Handle residential and commercial conveyancing, including contract preparation, review, and settlement. Assist with development law matters: structuring projects, body corporate advice, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder negotiations. Conduct commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including mediation where possible. Support business growth transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and deal structuring. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents (e.g., contracts, leases, development agreements, wills, trust documents). Conduct legal research, prepare cases, liaise with clients, manage file workflow, and ensure high‑quality deliverables. Represent clients or coordinate with external counsel as needed. Maintained meticulous file management, critical dates, and compliance with legal and professional obligations. Liaise with clients, agents, financiers, developers, government bodies, and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (or equivalent) from a recognised institution. Admission / Registration: Must be admitted or eligible for admission as a solicitor in Queensland (or other relevant Australian jurisdiction). Experience: Minimum one year of prior experience in property law, commercial law, conveyancing, or litigation is highly desirable. Skills: Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and research skills; excellent communication; client management; ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Accredited Specialist (optional): Solicitors who are or working toward being accredited specialists in property law or commercial law will be highly regarded. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work. A collaborative work ethic with the ability to work effectively in team environments. Skilled in managing client matters and providing clear legal guidance. Proficient in preparing Legal Aid files and instructing barristers effectively. Proven ability to meet deadlines under any circumstances.
