An exciting opportunity for a Senior Platform Engineer With expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our Cloud Operations this role you’ll make a significant impact across the entire organisation by optimising our cloud infrastructure to reduce costs, implementing best practises to enhance security and supporting development teams to streamline processes and boost cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliability and security. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, automation and best practises for infrastructure as code. Responsibilities Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines for automated deployments. Monitor and optimise system performance, availability and security. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployments. Document infrastructure designs, configurations and procedures. Participate in on‑call rotations for incident response. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest cloud technologies and trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Experience Strong experience with AWS and GCP services including compute, storage, networking and security. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Understanding of CI / CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI). Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Highly desirable AWS or GCP certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect). Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash).
