SAP Business Analyst - Bridge the Gap to Success Milestone Information Technology – Melbourne VIC Milestone IT is partnering with a major client on a crucial SAP upgrade project , and we are searching for a talented SAP Business Analyst (BA) to join the core team. You will be the essential link between the business users and the technical implementation team, ensuring the new SAP solution delivers maximum value. This role offers a unique opportunity to map future‑state business processes and influence the functional design of a massive enterprise system transformation. About the Role As the SAP Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining, documenting, and managing business requirements related to the SAP upgrade. You will dive deep into current‑state processes, conduct gap analyses, and translate business needs into functional specifications for the configuration and development teams. Key Responsibilities Engage with business stakeholders across various departments to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for the SAP upgrade. Conduct current‑state process analysis and gap analysis to determine optimal future‑state processes within the new SAP environment (potentially S/4HANA). Translate approved business requirements into clear, comprehensive functional specifications for technical developers and configuration teams. Perform system configuration and customization within the relevant SAP modules to meet functional requirements. Develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts, and actively support UAT and training activities. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for your assigned functional area, troubleshooting issues and providing post‑implementation support (hypercare). Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as an SAP Business Analyst or Functional Consultant on large‑scale SAP projects (implementation or upgrade). Deep functional expertise in at least one core SAP module (e.g., SAP FICO, MM, SD, or PP). Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proven ability to perform detailed process mapping and gap analysis. Strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading requirements‑gathering workshops and driving consensus among stakeholders.
