In this full-time, permanent role based at Garden Island, you’ll lead a skilled team, uphold safety and quality standards, and support the successful delivery of operational requirements.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead and manage a team of trades and non-trades staff, ensuring high-quality workmanship and full OH&S compliance.* Provide technical support, guidance, and reporting on electrical tasks and project deliverables.* Plan, estimate and schedule work activities, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.* Oversee personnel administration, team compliance, and adherence to company processes and standards.* Deliver on-the-job training, mentor apprentices, and support upskilling across the team.* Interpret drawings to manufacture, assemble and install electrical components, using workshop equipment safely and effectively.* Monitor team performance, identify development needs, and support continuous improvement.**Your Skills:*** Advanced Engineering Tradesperson with a NSW Electrical Licence.* Experience in electrical engineering within shipbuilding, repair or related industries.* Knowledge of commercial quality, safety requirements and industry-recognised Quality Assurance systems.* Milspec plugging, cable termination or fibre optic experience (desirable).* Basic rigging or forklift ticket (desirable).* Certificate IV in Frontline Supervision or equivalent experience in a leadership role.* Eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance and ITARs clearance.**WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY**After you have applied, you will receive an email acknowledging your application.
