We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical Supervisor to lead and support automation, controls, and electrical maintenance activities across a high‑volume production environment. This role suits a technician or engineer who has developed their expertise on the tools and progressed into leadership, with strong capability in PLC fault‑finding, automation systems, and equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and technical support on PLCs, automation systems, drives, and production machinery. Lead, coach, and support the electrical and automation team to deliver safe and reliable equipment performance. Coordinate and prioritise daily maintenance tasks and breakdown response to minimise downtime. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Reliability teams to identify root causes and implement long‑term solutions. Develop and implement improvements to equipment reliability, controls logic, and preventative maintenance programmes. Oversee contractor work and ensure compliance with site safety and electrical standards. Assist with planning and execution of automation upgrades, capital projects, and new equipment installations. Maintain documentation, control system backups, and change management processes. Candidate Requirements Degree qualified in Electrical Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or a related field. Proven hands‑on experience with PLC systems (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and automated production equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues under pressure. Experience in manufacturing, processing, packaging, FMCG, or a similar industrial environment. Comfortable leading others, coordinating workloads, and stepping into a supervisory role when required. Trade background or practical on‑the‑tools experience is highly regarded. Strong communication skills, organisation, and a committed safety‑first mindset.
