Chef De Partie at Hyatt Centric Melbourne : Based on site in the Melbourne CBD, the Chef De Partie is a vital role within the Culinary team. The Chef De Partie will be responsible for assisting the Executive Sous Chef with the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s kitchens, through the supervision of your team members and creating Melbourne best dishes and experiences. Some of the responsibilities include : Lead and mentor junior team members Maintain section readiness and organisation to ensure efficiency and cleanliness throughout service Foster positive team culture between both back of house and front of house Assist with running shifts and ensuring basic kitchen standards are met when Sous Chefs and Executive Sous Chef are offsite Comply with all prescribed hotel policies and food safety standards Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of all dishes to be served About you : 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced high end restaurant or hotel Strong knowledge and practical experience in Modern Australian and Classic European cuisine Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or higher HACCP & local Food Safety Handling & Hygieneknowledge Lead by example, train and mentor junior chefs, and confidently manage all kitchen sections to maintain operational excellence Flexible to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Well-developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, to assist with kitchen administration Qualifications Culture Statement : We Are Team Centric Team Centric brings together all departments with a “got your back” attitude.
