About the Role Reporting to the Process Control Systems Superintendent, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the ongoing development and support of Talison Lithium’s process control systems at our Greenbushes operation. Working in close collaboration with the PCS Superintendent and the Information Systems and Technology (IST) teams, you will contribute to the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of systems that underpin production processes and critical infrastructure. This position offers a blend of technical expertise and practical field work. You will be responsible for scoping and delivering control systems projects, both standalone and as part of broader initiatives, while supporting day‑to‑day operational activities. From assisting Process Control Officers with maintenance to driving optimisation and tuning for production, you will play a key role in ensuring efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site. This role is offered on an 8/6 roster and provides flexibility with either Drive‑In Drive‑Out (DIDO) or residential options. Responsibilities include: Contribute to the design, implementation, and commissioning of cutting‑edge process control systems and components, including PLCs, SCADA, and networks; Assist in preparing clear and detailed project documentation to support successful delivery; Provide ongoing support for our Process Control Systems (PCS), ensuring reliability and performance; Troubleshoot and resolve issues on‑site at Greenbushes, where your hands‑on expertise makes the difference; Drive and support best practice engineering processes across PCS activities; Collaborate with stakeholders to scope and consult on new projects requiring PCS integration; Support commissioning, handover, and troubleshooting for PCS projects and PCS components within larger initiatives; and Ensure projects are completed to a high standard, on time, and aligned with best practices. About the Candidate: Tertiary qualification in Engineering (highly desirable); 5+ years’ experience in Process Control Systems; Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to organise and prioritise effectively; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including key users, vendors, external consultants, and internal process owners across multiple disciplines; Experience delivering technical control system solutions across the full project lifecycle (design, coding, programming, testing, commissioning and handover); Working knowledge and conceptual design capability in Instrumentation & Process Control, PLC, HMI/SCADA, Plant Historian, Communications & Networks, Server Infrastructure (including Virtualisation) and Data Analysis & Interfacing; Previous experience with Rockwell Automation ecosystem (PLC, HMI, DOL, VSD); Previous experience with Aveva PlantSCADA; and Experience with Aveva System Platform or FactoryTalk View (desirable).
