The Role This is a midlevel Engineering role: Design and build robust, maintainable Android applications that deliver tangible value. Follow best practices to write high-quality code, including unit tests for edge cases, usability, and reliability. Develop new features and optimise existing functionality from concept to production, contributing across all phases of the SDLC. Collaborate with product managers, UI designers, platform leads, and engineers in a cross-functional, agile team. Promote a culture of automated testing and high code quality. Continuously improve the product, developer tools, and team productivity Key Skills / Experience Hands on experience as an Android Engineer, delivering native Android applications and owning the code throughout the full mobile SDLC, from concept to production. Strong expertise in the Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines. Proven ability to architect complex Android solutions, with solid experience in MVVM. Deep understanding of good API design for mobile applications, along with experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
