About The Role We currently have an opportunity for a Mining Engineering Manager to join our Narrabri Underground team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Mining Engineering Manager will ensure alignment between production activities and the site business plan, while providing support to the Operations Manager as required. This opportunity attracts a variety of roster options to suit your lifestyle with a competitive salary and bonus in addition to paid camp. FIFO: From Newcastle or Wollongong: 5/2 Mon-Fri roster. DIDO: 9-day fortnight What You’ll Do Lead the development of safety, performance, plans, schedules and cultural targets. Support the Operations Manager in managing people, systems and behaviours to achieve optimum mine productivity, performance, company performance and customer targets. Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to the mine operation teams. Lead the development and implementation of key productivity improvements to drive operational efficiency including the developing of operating and capital budgets. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related disciplines Mining Engineering Manager’s Certificate of Competency (MEM) Extensive experience and understanding of longwall underground coal mining Previous experience in leading high performing operational teams Previous demonstrated safe and productive management of mine activities and facilities.
