Restore Habitat for Koala & Platypus in Sydney (next event: Thur 18 Dec) Join us to help restore habitat along the Upper Georges River and Bunbury Curran Creek and make a real difference to some of Australia's most iconic wildlife species The event will take you through the fairy‑garden‑like Grey Myrtle Forest, along towering gums on the rugged Georges River, and into the remnant habitats of koalas, kangaroos, and platypus. Your direct action will tackle weed invasion and litter pollution, reconnect habitats and create healthier ecosystems for native species and local communities. No experience needed – just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in. Our friendly team will guide and support you throughout the event. Funded by the Australian Governments Natural Heritage Trust under the Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, with support from Conservation Volunteers Australia, Campbelltown City Council and the Office of Strategic Lands (NSW). No previous experience is required. We will provide you with all the know‑how on site. We can provide you with a certificate of appreciation for coming along and helping out (this looks great on a resume).
