We are seeking an experienced CAD Draftsperson to join our Fabrication team at Steel Indesign Pty Ltd in Bankstown, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will use your expertise in computer-aided design to create detailed technical drawings and designs for our diverse range of steel fabrication projects. Australian work rights are required for this position. What you'll be doing Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for Steel fabrication. Interpreting engineering specifications, standards and client requirements to create accurate and detailed technical drawings. Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet all necessary safety and quality standards. Maintaining and updating our CAD standards and library of templates and components. Providing guidance and training to junior draftspersons and designers as required. What we're looking for Extensive experience (minimum of 2 years) as a CAD Draftsperson, preferably within the metal fabrication or construction industries. Experience across metal fabrication, construction, and steel fabrication industries is essential. Proficient in the use with Autodesk Fusion 360 to create drawings for a Fiber laser Machine. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor is required. Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and fabrication methods. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
