Morrissey Consulting Structural Engineers are seeking a draftsperson to join our team. Key Responsibilities Working as part of the engineering team involved in the engineering design for structural projects. Understanding your Work Health and Safety responsibilities within the office and out on site. Providing support to the Senior Structural Engineer. Prepare detailed drawings for structural projects using AutoCad and Revit would also be beneficial. Strong attention to providing accurate details. Convert engineer mark-ups and site sketches into accurate CAD drawings. Assist with design coordination between engineers, builders, and consultants. Maintain drawing standards and project documentation. Conduct site visits when required to gather measurements or verify details. Demonstrate strong time management skills. What We Are Looking For A basic understanding of structural engineering principles. Qualification in Engineering Drafting, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Year 12 HSC or equivalent. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in structural drafting. Strong ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD – Revit would also be beneficial. Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail. Good communication (written and verbal) skills. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is mandatory for this position. About Us Morrissey Consulting Structural Engineers is a family-owned engineering firm based in the Maitland region.
