Broking Manager

We’re recruiting a Broking Manager for a well‑established brokerage with an engaged, social, and motivated commercial team. If you’re someone who enjoys both leading people and staying close to the technical work, this role offers a great balance of leadership and hands‑on broking. About the Role You’ll lead a team of 8, ranging from early‑career through to experienced commercial brokers. The focus is on bringing people together, developing capability, and ensuring quality work across the board. Working closely with senior leaders in Operations, Claims, and Domestic Broking, you’ll have real visibility and support in the business. You’ll report directly to the Head of Broking. What you’ll be doing Coaching, mentoring, and supporting brokers through 1:1 and group training Overseeing workflow, performance, and quality assurance Helping maintain a positive, collaborative team culture Managing your own portfolio of key commercial/corporate clients Providing technical guidance and stepping in on more complex placements Meeting with referral partners What We’re Looking For 5+ years of commercial broking experience Strong technical broking skills , especially with larger or more complex clients Experience leading, coaching, or supporting brokers (or a genuine readiness to step up) A people‑focused style with the ability to motivate and bring a team together Confidence juggling technical broking and leadership responsibilities A steady, approachable manner that helps maintain a great team atmosphere This could suit a current Manager or a Senior Broker who’s ready to take the next step.
