We’re seeking a Data Solution Specialist to design and deliver scalable data solutions that enhance data utilisation and enable smarter business decisions for Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA). In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with business insight to build fit‑for‑purpose data models, uplift data capability, and support analytics and reporting needs. This is a 12-month max‑term full‑time role based in multiple locations across Australia. What You'll Do Design and implement scalable data models to support analytics and operational requirements Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather, refine, and translate data requirements into actionable solutions. Develop user stories and contribute to agile delivery of data products that drive measurable business value. Conduct data analysis leveraging AI and automation to uncover actionable insights. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all solutions. Continuously improve data solutions to meet evolving business needs and enhance team capability. Support analytics and reporting initiatives through robust data structures and processes. What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in data analysis or solution delivery, translating business needs into fit-for-purpose data solutions. Intermediate proficiency in SQL, with hands‑on experience in BigQuery for data modelling and analysis. Skilled in complex data analysis, including applying AI techniques to uncover insights and support strategic decisions. Proficient in reporting and visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) to clearly communicate findings to stakeholders. Familiarity with industry-standard tools (Jira, Confluence) and strong commitment to data governance and quality. Solid understanding of testing methodologies to validate data solutions and ensure reliability. Strong business acumen with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to align solutions with business drivers.
