About the role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Cabinet Maker to join our team at Simmonds Kitchens . This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a respected local company known for delivering high-quality, custom cabinetry and joinery. As a Qualified Cabinet Maker, you will play a key role in designing, editing, constructing, and installing bespoke cabinetry for both residential and commercial projects. Experience with CNC software is essential to this role, as you’ll be working with precision equipment to bring detailed designs to life. What you’ll be doing Interpret design specifications and produce detailed drawings for custom cabinets and furniture. Select and prepare the appropriate materials and equipment for cabinet construction based off of our designers specifications - attention to detail is of the upmost importance. Expertly operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate, assemble, and finish high-quality cabinets and furniture. Deliver and install completed cabinet and furniture pieces at client sites. Maintain a clean and organised workshop to support efficient production. What we’re looking for Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related trade. Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified Cabinet Maker, preferably in a similar role. Excellent cabinet making skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to transport tools and materials.
