Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time scientist to join our team at the Macquarie Park Laboratory. This is a full-time day shift role, but you will also be part of the weekend roster and may need to cover afternoon, evening or public holiday shifts, if required. Responsibilities Performing routine serology/immunology testing and result verification Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment and instruments Adhering to standard laboratory protocols and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results Troubleshooting equipment and technical issues as they arise Essential Criteria Appropriate tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) Work experience in a pathology laboratory Understanding of good laboratory practice techniques Understanding of quality control and assurance procedures Good written and verbal communication skills Proven attention to detail Experience in Infectious Disease Serology, Immunology and/or Allergy Testing would be a distinct advantage Experience in an automated laboratory environment A demonstrated strong customer focus Candidate Requirements The successful applicant must be highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
