As the fund continues to expand its presence across global markets, they are seeking an experienced Australian Spec Power Trader to join their high‑performing team in either Sydney or Singapore. Responsibilities The successful candidate will play a central role in driving speculative trading activity across the Australian power markets. You will assume responsibility for managing a risk book, developing and refining trading strategies, and forming independent market views that translate into actionable positions. The role involves deep analysis of demand/supply dynamics, transmission constraints, weather patterns, regulatory developments, and market behaviour. You will collaborate with quantitative researchers, technologists, and risk teams to enhance tools, models, and analytical frameworks supporting the trading process. Qualifications Proven power trader experience in a speculative, risk‑taking role within the Australian power markets. Strong understanding of NEM market structure, disciplined approach to risk management, and demonstrated ability to generate P&L. Technical capability – modelling, coding, or advanced data analysis – highly valued. Independence, intellectual curiosity, and ability to operate effectively within a global trading environment.
