Band 6 salary ranges from $98,436.47 to $107,293.93, plus 12% superannuation and rolling days off. This role is integral to the Integrated Stormwater Group, driving innovation and sustainability within a high‑performing and inclusive team. We are building a brand‑new stormwater team focused on future‑ready solutions. As a Stormwater Engineer you will design and deliver innovative projects that protect the environment and enhance quality of life. Your work will reduce flood risks, improve water quality and support long‑term infrastructure goals. Responsibilities Manage selected stormwater capital works projects and provide expert input on development applications. Ensure Council’s infrastructure remains resilient and capable of supporting growth across the municipality. Balance development needs with long‑term system capacity and sustainability. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, communicate effectively at all levels. Qualifications & Experience Registered Professional Engineer or on a pathway to registration with a Washington Accord‑recognised accreditation that meets the requirement for registration. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil engineering. Experience with Civil 3D, Civil Site Design Drains, AutoCAD and TUFLOW is highly desirable. Working knowledge of current practices, processes and procedures in stormwater systems and infrastructure improvements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
