Clinical Nurse Educator - Macarthur Youth Team - Temp FT South Western Sydney Local Health District REQ Requisition # Employment Type: Temporary Full Time, 38 hours per week until June 2026Location: Macarthur Mental Health Centre,CampbelltownPosition Classification: Clinical Nurse EducatorRemuneration: $2,165.20 - $2,235.40 per week About The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Macarthur Youth Mental Health Team, supporting the development of mental health workforce across the Macarthur Community Mental Health Service, focusing on mandatory training, clinical education, evidence-based practice, and professional growth.As a key contributor, you will mentor and guide staff working with people experiencing mental health challenges, fostering a culture of learning and excellence in care. The position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on mental health outcomes across South Western Sydney. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model, promoting a culture that supports practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviors and interactions with patients, clients and employees. Where You'll Be Working SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney. These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care. The focus on community health and wellbeing makes SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services an ideal place to work, providing opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the community. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD. Can you describe a time when you provided clinical leadership through mentorship or preceptorship that led to improved learning outcomes or collaboration within your unit? What strategies did you use to support adult learning principles and ensure safe, compassionate care? How have you contributed to the planning and delivery of clinical education that aligns with organisational goals and professional standards? Please include how you ensured compliance with relevant codes of conduct and ethical guidelines. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
