Medical Receptionist

As our part-time Medical Receptionist (Tuesday – Thursday / 9am – 5PM), you will provide high-quality, professional, and confidential reception and administrative support to our team within the Medicare Mental Health Centre, helping us deliver warm, welcoming, and effective care to our clients. You’ll be joining a fresh, newly formed team in a positive and professional environment. In this front-facing role, you will support the smooth delivery of client care each day. As the first point of contact for individuals entering our service, you will build positive rapport with a wide range of clients, as well as their families and support networks. Reporting to the Program Services Manager, you will : Maintain strict confidentiality when managing client interactions and information. Provide accurate and sensitive information to clients, families, and carers. Manage digital and manual filing systems, ensuring organisation, security, and smooth operation. Perform essential reception duties including answering calls, booking appointments, greeting clients, and managing client records. Support the coordination of daily administrative processes, handle incoming and outgoing mail, manage clinical and office supplies, and contribute to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the centre. About you : You are an experienced receptionist or administrative professional with a solid understanding of health service operations, ideally within general practice or allied health. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring the following : Formal qualifications (certificate or diploma) in a relevant field or demonstrated experience in a medical or allied health reception / administration role. Experience maintaining procedures and workflows within a GP or private allied health setting. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
