Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About The Role The Coordinator Development Compliance will contribute to implementing a holistic program of change across Planning and Development in collaboration with the section leadership team and in consultation with the Townsville community. This will involve leading Planning and Development on a transformative journey focusing on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community, developing a culture of customer‑centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value. This position plays a key role in mentoring and supporting the Development Compliance Team, working alongside the broader leadership team within Development Assessment and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville community. About You Our ideal applicant will bring strong leadership, deep knowledge of planning and building legislation, and a passion for community-focused service delivery. Your ability to mentor, guide, and collaborate will be key to success in this role. You will monitor and be accountable for the Development Compliance Team’s performance, while engaging in a process of continuous improvement and system development to ensure services are provided to the community.
