Cluster Manager | QBD Books | Southern Victoria Region Store Support Manager – Southland VIC (Full-Time) Lead. Mentor. Grow. Travel. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a multi-site leadership role with QBD Books, Australia’s leading bookstore, supporting a thriving cluster of stores across Victoria. Based at our Southland store , this full-time leadership role supports a cluster of five stores across southern Melbourne and regional Victoria . It’s perfect for a current Cluster Manager or a high-performing Store Manager with a passion for team development and customer excellence. You’ll work Tuesdays to Saturdays , with four days per week at Southland and one day each week visiting one of your other stores , including three suburban sites and one rural location. Travel is reimbursed , and overnight accommodation is supported for regional visits. Responsibilities Coach and mentor store teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and consistently achieve sales targets and KPIs Lead from the floor, working shoulder-to-shoulder with teams and building capability through regular store visits Foster a culture of development, identifying growth opportunities and supporting team progression across the cluster Drive operational excellence across your stores, including visual merchandising, stock integrity, and compliance Collaborate closely with the Victorian State Manager and fellow Cluster Leaders to design and roll out new initiatives that elevate customer experience, team engagement, and operational success Work closely with Support Office, Buyers and Operations to keep communication flowing and initiatives on track Be a champion for our customer-first and people-first culture, prioritising team wellbeing, engagement and safety Qualifications Demonstrated success in leading retail teams, ideally across multiple sites or a high-volume store A strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and team development A passion for books and a genuine commitment to amazing customer service Adaptability, resilience, and a hands‑on leadership style Confidence with KPIs, store operations, and commercial decision-making A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel (travel reimbursement and accommodation provided where required) Benefits Ongoing leadership development and on‑the‑job training Generous staff discounts and performance incentives The opportunity to help shape the next generation of store leaders A fun, supportive and fast‑paced work environment If you’re ready to grow your career and make a lasting impact across multiple teams, we’d love to hear from you.
