Senior Systems Administrator – REDPATH MINING Position is focused on project management and implementation of technical aspects of company projects. Responsibilities include researching, planning and implementing the technical portion of company projects, monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure, and responding to security and other critical events. The role also assists other system administrators with daily procedures and escalated incidents, and seeks opportunities for ongoing improvement of Redpath’s IT systems. Benefits $3000 in hand at 5 years' service, $10k at 10 years, $15k at 15 years, $20k at 20 years Exclusive access to Redzone – employee reward program Competitive salary package Salary continuance insurance & life insurance Discounted health insurance with BUPA Opportunities to grow within the Redpath group domestically Novated car leasing Training and development opportunities Responsibilities Planning and Provisioning: Develop and write project scheduling and implementation plans Action project implementation in isolation or within a team Manage milestones, goals and communication within the business and IT team Work with other departments and staff to understand project requirements Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures Contribute to and maintain system standards Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks Operations and Support: Administration of local and global application services Scope, schedule and deploy IT projects Manage vendors and contractors to meet company goals Security monitoring to identify and mitigate potential intrusions User and service account management Investigating and troubleshooting IT issues Repair and recover from hardware/software failures, coordinating with affected customers Assist with developing and enforcing IT system policies Support training and content for new staff and new project implementations Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in a system administrator role Strong project management experience with delegation Excellent knowledge of Microsoft cloud services Excellent knowledge of IT security Strong business acumen for understanding standard company processes and practices Strong understanding of network topologies and design Desirable: excellent working knowledge of virtualization and migration Working towards or holding an MCSA certification About REDPATH MINING In 1962, Jim Redpath’s vision for the company was much the same as it is today; offering a high level of service to the mining industry, which exceeds current standards and provides challenge for its employees.
