Warehouse and Inventory Lead Goldwind Australia is a leading renewable energy solutions provider, delivering clean energy projects across Australia and New Zealand. Based in our Melbourne office, the Warehouse and Inventory Lead reports to the Contracts and Procurement Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring reliable, cost‑effective material flow across all projects. Why this role? The position supports continuous operations and drives cost efficiency by optimizing forecasting, inventory control, supplier performance, and warehouse management. It will also manage Warehouse Coordinators and requires occasional site travel. Responsibilities Lead and develop a warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a safety‑first, collaborative environment. Plan and forecast material demand to guarantee timely supply for projects and maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory control, minimizing excess and obsolete stock and improving turnover through system‑based management. Strengthen supplier and logistics performance, managing relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with trade and cost standards. Enhance forecasting and planning accuracy using analytical models and tools (SAP, CES, DAS) aligned with consumption and project timelines. Oversee warehouse operations, optimize space utilization, and maintain safety and operational compliance. Identify and implement cost‑reduction initiatives across procurement, inventory, and warehousing while maintaining service quality. Deliver accurate reports, audits, and analysis to support decision‑making and continuous supply‑chain improvement. Develop and execute cost‑effective procurement strategies, including localized sourcing, to reduce lead times and total cost of ownership. Qualifications Cert III in warehousing operations or a similar qualification in logistics or supply chain. An engineering degree or diploma is highly regarded. Five or more years’ experience in warehousing and inventory management, with at least three years in the energy, renewables, oil and gas, or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong analytical and data‑interpretation skills. Current Australian driver’s licence. Mandarin language skills are an advantage but not required.
