WAREHOUSE & INVENTORY MANAGER

Today, our World leading brands include:- Thermo King-Transport Refrigeration of trailers, trucks, vans, intermodal and air cargo TransitAir - Rail HVAC - Air conditioning for Trains and trams and locomotives Whiting- Roller shutters doors for all transport vehicles Robinson- Roller shutters for service vehicles Joloda Hydraroll- Moving floors for vehicles and warehouses, and Anteo-Tail lifts for trailers, trucks, vans, and utilities ROLE OBJECTIVE Working closely with and reporting to the Group Operations and & Group Parts Manager, the emphasis of this role is to provide meticulous inventory control and warehouse management at our facility that stores our new Thermo King, Whiting, Joloda and Anteo equipment. At all times, you will ensure that internal and external customers receive the highest quality service and deliveries to meet their schedule. KEY RESONSIBILITIES The emphasis of this role includes, but is not limited to: Supervise warehouse operations Oversee daily activities such as shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution to ensure efficiency and quality control. Knowledge in Business Central and Microsoft field services would be advantageous. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock, use inventory tracking software and reconcile daily shipments and deliveries. Work in conjunction with Procurement and Parts teams. Warehouse management systems. Lead a team Train and manage warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance analysis. Implement procedures and systems to improve inventory management and logistics. Analyse inventory records to assess stock demand, ensuring optimal stock levels in collaboration with our stakeholders. Uphold inventory accuracy through routine physical inventories or cycle counting. Proactively address inventory issues, offering timely resolutions to minimise disruptions to customer and employee satisfaction. Monitor and report on inventory records, emphasising damaged stock levels, credit returns, and stock adjustments. Data analysis and reporting Analyse data, inventory evaluation, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on inventory levels and operational efficiency for senior management. Ensure safety and compliance Enforce company safety policies and national regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist as required with the logistics of product movement to customers and internal facilities, working with transport partners when necessary. Other duties Supervise staff with the daily operations. Supervise and assist the storeperson in building kits and ensuring inventory picks are accurate and on time. Assisting with the loading and unloading and delivery of goods/units to customers including appropriate documentation. Drivers Licence. Maintain communication with customers and suppliers concerning any difficulties, delays or changes to delivery schedules or requirements. Provide feedback to Manager on the progress of operational activities and the possibility of any obstacles arising which may prevent the attainment of KPI’s. Prepare general reports as requested and handle administrative requirements for the Warehouse. Ensure all warehouse processes, procedures and activities are recorded and that ongoing reviews and corrective actions are performed to ensure the warehouse is improving continuously. Develop and maintain a clean, functioning and efficient warehouse. Participating in regular meetings with the management team and inter‑department and national liaisons and communications. Carry out all other ad hoc tasks requested by Management. Experience and Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business Management, Lean manufacturing or 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role. Ability to develop strategy in line with SSG’s warehousing objectives and convert this to operational results. Proven experience with implementing and optimising solutions in warehousing environments, including familiarity with warehouse management software integration. Demonstrated leadership capability leading a team for results excellence. Previous experience in DC parts operation or a warehouse environment in the refrigeration/automotive industry.
